All pieces move according to traditional chess rules:
• Pawns move forward, capture diagonally
• Rooks move horizontally and vertically
• Bishops move diagonally
• Knights move in L-shapes
• Queens combine rook and bishop moves
• Kings move one square in any direction
• No checkmate required!
• Game ends when 5-minute timer expires
• Player with more pieces wins
• Ties are possible if piece counts are equal
• Click a piece to select it (it will glow)
• Click highlighted squares to move
• Capture opponent pieces by moving onto them
• Watch the timer and piece counts!
